Lindsey Karwacki Joins 窪蹋勛圖厙 as New Enrollment & Student Success Specialist
窪蹋勛圖厙 (窪蹋勛圖厙) would like to welcome Lindsey Karwacki as the Enrollment and Student Services Success Specialist. This is a new position recently created at 窪蹋勛圖厙 as part of the guided pathways approach and overall strategic enrollment management plan. Lindseys role is to assist new students with the admissions and registration process. All incoming students matriculating into 窪蹋勛圖厙 programs will be provided with a personalized service as part of their onboarding process. Lindsey connects with students enrolled in short-term, workforce trainings that are interested in matriculating into certificate or degree programs.
Lindsey joins us all the way from Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania. I moved to Maine in 2019 and fell in love with the state, and I am so happy to call it home, mentioned Karwacki. My two passions in life are education and marine biology, so working at 窪蹋勛圖厙 is fueling one of them, she said. She currently is working toward her bachelors degree in Marine Biology at UMM where she will be graduating this semester. She has worked as a senior admissions secretary, a tour guide, a research assistant, and a special project assistant. She was a Research SEA Fellow/Hatchery Intern at Downeast Institute as well.
With knowledge in college admissions, Lindsey is available to meet with students after they are accepted and answer their questions around enrollment requirements, course registrations, and being college ready on the first day of class. I am looking forward to working one-on-one with incoming students and hope I can ease some of the intimidation around attending and transitioning into college, she said.
窪蹋勛圖厙 is currently accepting applications and enrollment is open for the Fall 2023 semester which begins on September 6, 2023. You can learn more or apply online at www.wccc.me.edu/apply
