bend in the roadºÚÁϳԹÏÍø offers an affordable pathway to a four-year degree. Every year, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students and graduates transfer on to four-year colleges and universities, in Maine and elsewhere.

Transfer counseling services are available to all ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students.

Transfer to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø

Students interested in transferring credit to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø or earning credit for other work and learning experiences should start by contacting the admissions office at 1-800-210-6932 (in Maine only) or 207-454-1000. Some basic transfer guidelines.

In general, students may transfer credits earned:

• At other accredited colleges and universities
• Through courses taken for college credit while in high school
• On Advanced Placement examinations

Reverse Transfer

If you transfer to another college or university before earning a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø degree, you may still be able to earn an associate degree by transferring credits back to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.

Reverse transfer enables students who transfer to a four-year degree program after earning at least 15 credits from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to transfer credits from their new institution back to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in order to fulfill the requirements for an associate degree. The Academic Dean’s Office can explain how reverse transfer works.
