Scott’s favorite part of teaching is watching his students grow from beginners into skilled professionals. He enjoys seeing them mature throughout the semesters, gaining not just technical skills but also confidence in themselves and their abilities. One of the most rewarding moments for Scott is helping his students secure jobs after graduation, knowing that he played a part in their journey to success.Ìý

Scott’s welding program offers students a distinctive advantage through its small class sizes and tight-knit community. In his program, students get hands-on experience with advanced tools and techniques, such as pipe fitting using the pipe threading machine, mile hog, and flex core guns. Scott believes that pipe fitting is an essential skill for any welder and is a valuable addition to the curriculum. His students graduate with a well-rounded skill set that sets them apart in the workforce.Ìý

Scott’s Journey with Welding
Scott’s passion for welding began when he took the program himself back in 1982. He quickly fell in love with the craft and has since spent over three decades working in the field. Now, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of welders. His vast experience in the field, paired with his love for teaching, makes him a great mentor to his students.
Outside of Work
When ³ó±ð’s not teaching or working with students, Scott enjoys spending time outdoors. He loves hunting, fishing, and staying busy in his garage, always working on new projects. His hands-on hobbies align perfectly with his teaching style, as he believes in the value of hard work and practical experience.
